A Heartfelt Message to Our Beloved Community
Dear cherished friends and supporters,
It is with a heavy yet hopeful heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved daughter, Breanna, on February 4, 2024. Breanna was a true light in this world, dedicating her life to the care and healing of animals. Her boundless compassion and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she helped and the animal vet field. As she joins her brother Keith, her loyal dog Soba, and many loved ones, we find comfort in knowing her spirit continues to shine brightly, guiding us from above.
In facing this profound loss, our family is reminded of the incredible strength that comes from unity, love, and the resilience to rise above adversity. Breanna’s life taught us the importance of living with purpose and intention, cherishing every moment, and loving deeply. It’s these values that will guide us as we navigate through this difficult time.
One of the most important lessons we’ve learned through our journey is the value of open discussions about life’s most challenging subjects, including loss and grief. Talking openly with our children and grandchildren about death helps ensure that we honor the wishes of our loved ones and strengthens our family bonds in times of sorrow. It brings us comfort to know and fulfill their desires, leaving no room for doubt or regret.
In honor of Breanna, we want to share the idea of creating a next-of-kin box. This simple act of gathering important documents and wishes in one place can bring immense peace and clarity to families during the most trying times. Remembering to designate a beneficiary for all accounts is a small but significant way to show love and foresight, easing future burdens for your loved ones.
Breanna’s sudden passing has also highlighted the importance of being vigilant about our health, especially regarding heart-related genetic conditions. Understanding the signs and having open discussions about our family health history are crucial steps in prevention and care. We advocate for regular heart screenings for families with a history of heart conditions, as early detection can save lives.
As we move forward, we invite each of you to join us in embracing a gentle mantra: “Live intentionally, love deeply, and rise resiliently.†Let’s honor the memories of those we’ve lost by making the most of our time together, acting with kindness and intention.
As we take some time to be with our family and grieve, we are profoundly grateful for your understanding, support, and love. Your warmth and kindness during this time mean the world to us.In closing, let’s hold a moment of silence to honor Breanna, Keith, and all the beautiful souls that have left us too soon. May their memories inspire us to live better, love more, and cherish every moment.
With all our love and gratitude,
